Title: WOW-the next thing What I Think: i went to their fort wayne show at picasso's and i thought they were awesome.I got their cd and een though i usually listn to a little more haardcore music it is always in my cd player!!!!! Title: Tip Top! What I Think: This song is awesome!! I love the rawness and the catchyness...I find myself singing "ERRAAASSSEEE" after the song is through...lol! Extra Credit Items: I really enjoy listening to the down to earth tones,rhythms,guitar riffs,and vocals that don't split my eardrums! It is refreshing to hear the kind of raw spirit and emotion that come through in ALL of the Bluekarma songs! What I Think: It's refreshing to hear a band with real talent who doesnt sound all pissed off. It really shows the talent of these guys to play different styles of songs. These guys are a great band, I've seen them live several times, and wait for the day they reach the big time! Got a really clean and tight sound. I just wish I could get some more "grit" out of the vocals. The "tortured" sound is ok...but the band needs a bit more of the down and dirty tunes. What I Think: After somehow living through the last couple years, suffering from the stifling rabble that most mainstream record companies release, it's about time something like bluekarma came along. "Erase" definitely demonstrates something we just don't hear that much of anymore in rock music; feeling and emotion. So many groups out there now are focused on hatred and disgust; the depression of life. It's nice to hear about a band that takes life by the reins and grasps for every ounce of vitality it can muster. This band is going somewhere... What I Think: This song captures the pure essance of Bluekarma. It shows there ability to play a rock balled. I get a sort of radiohead feel but with them still keeping it unique. I have had a chance to see them play live too, which is even better. They really know how to grab an audience and take them on a journey of emotions. Extra Credit Items: I really liked the guitar work in the begining, and actually through out the song there were alot of little catchy guitar licks. I thought the chorus over all was very well put together along with the structure of the rest of the song. I thought the bridge was a nice change up and I think it work well with the whole flow of the song. And finally I like the way the song ended with the whole pitch shift of the guitar. This song barely captures the rockin' BlueKarma can deliver live, but it does give you a good feeling for there ability to blend melodic rock a la U2 and put a nice Modern Rock edge to it.
